Brief

In 2006 I helped lead a youth expedition to Colorado as part of Leading Edge Expeditions. Our aim was to mountain bike 800 miles across the Rockies, unsupported. One of my leadership duties was to design, build and maintain the website. The website had to inform people of our objectives and aid fundraising efforts prior to our departure and act as journal while away.

Outcome

During the expedition I tracked our progress, plotting each stage on Google Maps as well as noting elements such as total distance travelled, daily mileage, etc. I also logged our physiological data; such as weight loss and heart rate to measure the effects of the expedition on each individual. I also maintained a blog as often as possible to allow people to fully track our progress.
